Advait Energy Transitions Ltd (AETL) has formed a strategic partnership with Haryana City Gas Distribution (Bhiwadi) Ltd to set up a state-of-the-art green hydrogen plant with a capacity of 2,000 MTPA. This partnership marks a significant step forward in the Indian clean energy ecosystem while contributing substantially to the overall green hydrogen capacity of the country. The plant will comprise 15 MW alkaline-based electrolysers, with turnkey Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services being provided. After the commissioning of the plant, Advait Energy would also be responsible for the all-important operations and maintenance for one year.
The project aims to advance industrial sustainability and explore the potential applications of green hydrogen across various sectors. In addition to producing green hydrogen, the plant will investigate the production of green ammonia and the generation of carbon credits, further supporting India’s goals for carbon reduction. The partnership also includes consultancy services focused on assessing the viability of green hydrogen applications in industrial and commercial settings.
This collaboration aligns with Advait Energy Transitions’ broader vision of contributing to a sustainable energy ecosystem, with a focus on renewable energy, hydrogen technologies, and other green energy solutions.
Conclusion
Advait Energy Transitions and Haryana City Gas Distribution have united to create an innovative venture that entails transforming India's energy landscape. This plant will produce green hydrogen and go a long way in achieving the carbon reduction objectives set by India as well as furthering industrial sustainability. Advait Energy would be managing the operations and advisory services for the plant, and it speaks of this commitment in taking green energy solutions forward. This partnership along with Advait's other renewable energy projects, which include a 200 MW electrolyser manufacturing unit and 40,000 off-grid solar pumps, further represents a much broader commitment by the company to renewable energy future in India.
As India continues to pursue its clean energy ambitions, this green hydrogen initiative is poised to significantly accelerate the country’s transition toward a more sustainable and resilient energy system, while also positioning Advait Energy Transitions as a leader in the renewable energy sector.
