Tesla is going to setup it’s first manufacturing unit in India in the state of Karnataka. “American firm Tesla will open its electric car manufacturing unit in Karnataka,” the Chief Minister of Karnataka said in a statement. The company already opened its office in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka and registered as Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt. Ltd.
Currently, the sale of EVs in India is less than 1% which very
low when compared to the sales of some of the developed countries like the US,
China, the UK, etc. With the entry of Tesla into the domestic market with a manufacturing
unit in India, the situation is expected to change.
Tesla’s move to start the manufacturing of electric cars in
